Car parking fees at metropolitan hospitals

All patients and visitors can park free of charge for two hours in the open-air car parks at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, Modbury Hospital, Noarlunga Hospital and the Lyell McEwin Hospital.

Public fees, for the open air car parks at all metropolitan hospitals, except Flinders Medical Centre, the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Women’s and Children’s Hospital are payable by the hour as follows:

0 to 2 hours - Free
2 to 3 hours - $3
3 to 4 hours - $7
4 to 5 hours - $9
5 to 6 hours - $11
6 to 7 hours - $13
7 to 8 hours - $14
8 to 9 hours - $15
9 to 10 hours - $17
10 or more hours (all day) - $18

Multi-Deck Car Parks at Flinders Medical Centre and Lyell McEwin Hospital and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital

The multi-deck car parks at Flinders Medical Centre and Lyell McEwin Hospital and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital have a daily rate of $18, starting at $3 for the first hour.

Royal Adelaide Hospital

Public fees at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) are payable by the hour as follows:
First 60 Minutes - $6
1 to 2 hours - $9
2 to 3 hours - $19
3 to 4 hours - $25
4 to 5 hours - $27
5-24 hours - $33
Lost ticket - $33

Weekly tickets for relatives of long stay patients are available from the RAH newsagency for $53 per week.

Women’s and Children’s Hospital

Public car parking is available for the Women’s and Children’s Hospital at the Medical Centre Car Park located in Kermode Street (adjacent to the pedestrian crossing) and is payable by the hour as follows:

0 to 1 hours — $6
1 to 2 hours — $9
2 to 3 hours — $11
3 to 4 hours — $12
4 to 5 hours — $13
Over 5 hours Monday to Friday— $19
Over 5 hours Saturday and Sunday — $14
Weekly ticket — $39 per week

The Rogerson Car Park has a flat rate of $19.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital

All visitor parking is now in the multi deck car park. Fees and charges as follows:

3 to 4 hours - $11
4 to 5 hours - $13
5 to 6 hours - $14
6 to 7 hours - $15

Women's and Children's Hospital (WCH) $39 Relatives, carers and escorts of consumers only WCH Transport Office during office hours. You will be asked for your vehicle registration number when purchasing your ticket.

Car Parking Fee Exemptions

The following exemptions apply for Royal Adelaide Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre, Modbury Hospital, Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Lyell McEwin Hospital, Noarlunga Hospital and Women's and Children's Hospital:

  • Patients, or parents or carers of a baby / young child patient, who are required to attend the hospital for clinical reasons at least once a week for a period of at least four (4) weeks.
  • Volunteers approved by the Health facility manager (or delegate).
  • Bicycle parking in designated locations (this does not include motor cycles).

Please note other patients / relatives or carers may be eligible for car parking exemptions; subject to the approval of the Health facility manager (or delegate).
