Our performance
SA Health reports statistics and data on a range of areas that reflect the performance of our public health system.
Health statistics data contains historical data on health risk factors, mental illness, population groups, the performance of hospital and health care services, safety and quality and public health.
This performance data includes up-to-date information on a range of hospital data, including elective surgery waiting times, notifiable disease information and specific data on cancer, pregnancy, births, breast screening, cervix screening and immunisation coverage.
SA Health dashboards
SA Health has increased the transparency of the performance of our public health system by releasing the Emergency Department (ED), the Inpatient (IP) and the elective surgery dashboards.
Our ED dashboard includes information on the number of patients within our EDs, the number of treatment areas available, waiting times, arrivals, discharges and patient types.
Our IP dashboard includes information on the number of patients within each inpatient area or clinical unit of the hospitals (i.e Cancer Centre or Critical Care), plus other information on average length of stay, bed numbers, discharges and patient types.
Our elective surgery dashboard includes information on elective surgery waiting list activity in major metropolitan and 27 country hospitals.
Our ambulance service dashboard includes information on the average ambulance clearance times, and the number of ambulances that were at hospitals for 30 minutes or more in the last three hours.
